Local Heroes: Well, I’m from the same town as former Liverpool flop Oyvind Leonhardsen and the United legend mentioned above. Hardly my heroes…
Fav all time player: Fowler and Hansen. And for some strange reason Ray Houghton!
What got me hooked?: The Souness years! I started as a glory hunter, but when the tide turned I dived into this magnificent club’s history. And I was hooked all over again. Big time, this time around.

First Match I remember going to: Port Vale Vs Newcastle United old league division 2- 89 I think? Days of Beckford, Taylor & Earle.

The Vale lost 1-0 to ‘Toon Army’ who I remember chased a load of us across waste ground after the game.. crazy geordies! Fleet footed Mick Quinn got the winner… “who eat all the pies…you fat….!” 

Fav all time match: Liverpool 3-3 Everton 1989/90 - Derbies dont come as good as this cracker. A Barnes curler, Cottee’s first touch, Sharpe, Beardsley & Rush. Not even ‘King Kenny’ could handle this one!

What got me hooked?: Maradona got me dribbling but ‘Italia 90′ got me sobbing like a baby!

Fav goal of all time: Maradona’s ‘other goal’ against England in ‘Mexico 86′, Mark Stein firing past Peter Schmeichel at the Victoria Ground as Stoke battered Man Utd 2-1 in ‘93′ with me in the Boothern End, Van Bastan volley in European Champs final Vs USSR ‘88′ of course, impossible angle! Roberto Baggio’s ‘dummy’ agianst Czecheslovakia in ‘Italia 90′.
